Daryl Shorter, MD

Dr. Daryl Shorter is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is Board Certified in both General and Addiction Psychiatry. 


A graduate of Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Shorter completed Psychiatry residency at The Ohio State University and Addiction Psychiatry fellowship at New York University/Bellevue Hospital. 


Currently an Assistant Professor, Dr. Shorter serves as Program Director of the General Psychiatry residency and Addiction Psychiatry fellowship programs. He is in clinical practice at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and has co-authored several peer-reviewed publications focusing primarily on treatment of opioid and cocaine use disorders.
